Electrician – Periodic Inspections
Due to continued expansion, CSL is currently recruiting for a QC Certified Electrician based in the Leinster region. This is a full time and permanent position and is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a well-established company working in the water industry.
The Role: Electrician – Periodic Inspections:
- Reporting to Senior Management this individual will be required to work on their own initiative visiting a new site every day.
- The role will primarily involve testing and inspection of existing electrical installations in the water and wastewater industry.
- The candidate must have the ability to carry out visual inspections of electrical installations and complete full Periodic Inspections including all testing and reporting as required.
- As part of each Periodic Inspection, a full thermal imaging survey must be carried out and a report generated as required
- The role also involves routine electrical maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plant assets.
- Ability to follow control panel schematics and trouble shoot control panel fault.
- Fault finding and problem resolution in general.
- The candidate must have a good working knowledge of VSD’s and be able to interrogate, interpret and modify VSD settings.
- Where required some minor electrical installation works will be required such as wire up, gland, terminate pumps, motors, VSDs, circuit boards and panels, install new conduits, trays, ladder and pull new cables where necessary.
- Completion of daily reports and Health & Safety forms as required for day to day works on sites.
- All reporting from site Periodic Inspections will be uploaded to a Cloud based system, so the candidate must be competent with such technology. Training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Completed the Electrical Testing & Verification Courses and have a valid QC Number.
- Full clear driving license.
- Safe Pass & Manual Handling have to be up to date.
- Knowledge of water industry an advantage but not essential.

Industrial Electrician – Service Engineer
CSL is a leading supplier of electrical and mechanical services to the Water, Pharma and Food industries. Due to increase demand for our services, we are now recruiting for electrical service engineer for the Wexford / Carlow Area with occasional work in other counties as an when required. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician to progress into the fast changing environment of water treatment.
CSL will provide training on instrumentation where required but individuals must be industrial electricians with at least 4-5 years’ experience. Position is as a service engineer in the Water sector.
Knowledge of the water/wastewater process is desirable but not essential.
Potential candidates must have the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team with minimal supervision. The role is a mixed variety of maintenance works and small installations.

Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical and instrumentation service, commissioning, maintenance and repair to various types of equipment on waste water treatment plants and pump stations.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of on-site issues on control panels and assortment of equipment.
- Install new plant items; wire in control panels and components, pumps, instruments, and all electrical items on site.
- Daily liaison with Service dept personnel and client on findings and recommendations
- General administration duties include report writing, record keeping etc.
- Provide the highest level of customer service

Requirements:
- Fully qualified electrician with industrial experience on 3 phase power (mA and control wiring would be a distinct advantage also)

Mechanical Pipe Fitter
Job Description:
- Work as part of a Mechanical Team for the delivery of new installations and for maintenance and repairs of equipment.
- Prepare all siteworks including the completion of all Permits to Work, Safe Plan of Action’s and creating a safe work area.
- Fitting of equipment to a professional standard. Installations must look neat and tidy and be carried out in such a manner that the end user can safely access and operate the equipment.
- Comply with CSL’s and our Client’s stringent safety standards.
- Liaise with our Client’s during installation to ensure safety and quality compliance.
Package:
- Salary: Depending on Experience and the suitability of candidate

The successful candidate will have:
- The ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team with minimal supervision. The role is a mixed variety of maintenance works and installations.
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment plant installations.
- This role requires experience in installation of Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron and PVC pipework of all range of sizes
- Experience in the installation of equipment such as pumps, valves, blowers, augers, penstocks, platforms & access equipment, etc is required.
- In particular the role requires experience in the installation, repair & maintenance of Chemical Systems including equipment such as bulk storage tanks, kiosks, chemical dosing pumps, chemical dosing pipelines, double contained pipework and the fitting/installation of all associated instrumentation.
- Chemical System Installations will include the following chemicals, Aluminium Sulphate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Polymers, Sulphuric Acid and any other chemicals associated with the water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Strong technical capability with attention to detail in reading drawings, templates, schematics P&ID’s and other drawings.
- The candidate must have experience in commissioning equipment such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, dosing pumps, PC pumps, actuators, conveyors, motors and gearboxes.
- Must also be familiar with typical instrumentation used in the water sector such as level, flow, pressure, pH, chlorine, turbidity etc.
- Willingness to travel (within Ireland) where necessary.
- A full clean driver’s licence is required.
